Day 6 of Crazy

Tried to rush through the work day as much as possible.
Co-worker was annoying me with her: not working, having personal calls on work phone, instant messaging and making her frog noises. Seriously, there's something that she does that makes a froggy, croaking sound and she was doing it a lot.

During work, we had to stand in the hall because of the tornado warning. It reminded me of high school, so I told the lady standing next to me, "I'm so glad we got out of exams. That math test is hard." She said,"I know. I hate my class."

Sorta met my next door neighbor; she scuffs her feet a lot and stomps around. Her downstairs neighbors must love her.

Got a new microwave. It's modern instead of being older than me.

Had pasta and wine for dinner at a bar/restaurant downtown and talked with an old guy about reality TV.

Day 5 of Crazy

Garden looking great! Every day I get more and more excited and daydream about them in full bloom. ... and of course eating the strawberries. :P

Almost got run over by the mailman today. He was an inch from hitting me. Coincidentally, he was almost an inch from me punching his truck thing. I was furious! He shouldn't be driving around and looking in his mail box at the same time!

Work was long. A co-worker and I talked about how we're a year (year and a half for me!) out from uni graduation. She said she didn't really feel much better about herself being in the position she's in. I then pointed out that it was only a year and we're in a recession. I could tell she felt better.

Day 4 of Crazy

Dreamt of Doctor Who this morning, so I was pretty pissed off when the alarm went off.

The internet was still down at work. The end was nigh... until about 4:30 p.m.

My little garden is coming along nicely: the strawberries and peppers are starting to make little sprouts, the basil is growing a lot, the sensitive plant has tiny fronds and the wildflowers have little sprouts too. No sign of lavender yet. :(

Got some seeds in the mail: cilantro, zucchini and canteloupe. I'm keeping the cilantro to feed Manon's addiction to it, but Mum will get the zucchini and canteloupe.

Get to sleep in tomorrow. I'm so looking forward to seeing what my dreams are going to be like. They've been pretty vivid and interesting.

Day 3 of Crazy

Woke up before 8 this morning. Was a bit weird.
It was stormy for the day, so I couldn't go walking or swimming. :(

Got a call from Ana, a friend I hadn't seen or talked to in about 15 years! It was so weird yet so nice. It was like a call from the past. We talked for a while, exchanged addresses and made possible plans for a summer reunion.

Went to work, where the storm had knocked out the internet. It's pretty hard to put a paper together when you can't get information from one place to another. But, we were trying our best.

After work, I talked to a friend about his depression. He's afraid to go get help, yet knows that he needs it. Pretty much in the same situation I was in a few years ago. So, I talked him through it and it seems that he's much more resolved now.

Day 2 of Crazy

Had a really interesting dream before waking up. So much so that I was a bit mad I couldn't get back to it or sleep.

Started the day with some Cocoa Krispies and about 2 1/2 miles of walking, followed by 30 minutes swimming... and some floating too. I love that no one really gets in the pool before the afternoon, so I pretty much have the pool to myself. Very nice, very quiet.
Tried out a new sunscreen. It's a spray on kind. It's a bit weird smelling and tingly.... but if it keeps away the sun cancer than it's ok.

Helped a friend figure out his classes for next semester. He was getting really frustrated and upset. It's always better to get a second pair of eyes on it.

Edit: I hit save instead of publish, so this post is a little late.

Day 1 of Crazy

Nothing much happened today. Most of it revolved around a doctor's appointment concerning my migraines.
Got some medication that should make it easier to sleep off a migraine when I get one.

Thought about getting a small rose bush to sit out with my other plants and bringing the sensitive plant inside..... since it's so sensitive.

Had a good long talk with Mum. Felt a lot better about stuff, especially after being able to laugh at it.

Studied for the GRE more; this test is going to be some serious business!

Got in contact with a friend I haven't seen or heard from in nearly 15 years. That felt really nice. Almost cried at the simple pleasure of talking to someone that I'd known so long ago.

Classic

I miss you, Bea!
